Christmas Gift for children

Based on the New Living Translation, this Bible contains daily readings for 365 days, half from the Old Testament and half from the New Testament. In addition to the main selection for each day from one of the Testaments, there is a related verse or more from the other.

The One Year Bible for Kids is not a complete read-the-Bible-in-a-year plan. That would not be appropriate for this age child, but it has some important features:

• It does establish the habit of regular Bible reading;
  
• It does introduce the youngster to the "greatest Bible passages";
  
• It is printed on good thick paper in fairly large type for easy reading;
  
• It does have brief footnotes to help with understanding the meaning of certain words.

At the beginning to each reading is a short introduction to set the scene and at the end is a note to help a kid with application of the text.
